Default need a cam that has a lumpy idle, that requires no tune and a small TC?

i am looking for a cam that has a lumpy idle, strong torque and good midrange, that doesnt change gas mileage very much, and requires no tune, can be run with springs that dont need to replaced every six months, that will work with a small toque converter like a 2200 stall. anyone got an ideas on which cam i should run? vids

thunder racing tr220 or tr224 on a 112lsa if you want more lump, 114lsa if you want it to work better with your car. run some decent dual springs and should last you a good amount of time.

2200 stall is like nothing... i dont even know who sells it... stock converters are 1900 i believe... and you should go with a thunder racing 224 on a 114lsa with a 3000 stall converter, will still keep good driveability and its a nice mid sized cam. as long as you dont mind knowing a lot of ppl have it, if u wanna be different order up a custom size from a company.

If you just want a lumpy idle, just turn your idle down.
Don't go with a big ground pounding cam w/ a small verter, you'll hate it.
3200 w/ 224 112 would sound good and perform well.

A4's aren't about being dyno queens, they're about getting down the track.
W/ ls6 intake, maybe 375 locked/360 unlocked if you're lucky.

I think those numbers are optimistic given the fact he's not going to tune it. 360-350 range more likely. One thing though: it does not have a lumpy idle. You can hear it but it is not lumpy at all.

You're not going to get 400/400 on an A4 cam only that requires no tune, and even if you could you'd hate it with a low stall. Either lower your goals or compromise.

okay what will put me to my goal with a tune after cam with still a 3000 stall because i dont want it to be hard to drive on the streets, stop and go, and revving up high with a higher stall. what do you think will work for me??

probably 380 w/ full bolt ons, and around low 12 @ 113 or so full weight. That cam needs a little more stall.

You need heads to go with your cam for your goals for a streetable daily driver. Or just live with the fact the auto's and stall dont equate to big dyno numbers. Its at the track that they come into play.

yeah, i guess now that to me dyno numbers dont mean ****, what matters is how fast you can get to the end of teh 1/4 mile strip. u think an f13 and a 3000 stall with other bolt ons will get me into 11's on a warm day?

There is no cam swap that requires no tune to be optimized.
GT2-3, LS6 or similar will run on stock tune but will not be optimized.
TUNE makes or brakes the performance of a cam, otherwise why bother IMO.
