sounds like your going to have a lot of fun. your not going to want to go back and leave that car again. i hope you can find a good place to store your car if you have to go back over seas. ive seen some car lots on a base near san diego and there cars turn into **** just sitting there. anyways, your setup sounds solid. only thing im not seeing would be a lid, your choice of muffler for the x pipe, and you can port your own TB, and your going to need a really good tune, especialy after your cam swap. either way, your going to have a kick *** car.

They should work fine with stock heads if they have not been milled. Sending to the ole internal section.

I think with a cam like the MS4 you'll probably want some gears (at least 3.90s) and a stall more around 4k. There is a 9 page thread on the MS4 cam if you just do a search in this section. If you are planning on doing more to the car in the future (Stroker, N2O, FI) then you might as well swap in a 12 bolt or 9 inch rear end now.

If you drive your car on the freeway a lot and gas mileage is a concern you may want something like 373s if you just go to the track, beat the hell out of it and drive it home then you can go crazy with something like 430 gears, the 430s will also do well in the burnout contest . But it really depends on your goals, I would find someone else with an A4 and the MS4 on this forum and ask them how they like their gears, what 60 ft time then run and what kind of gas mileage they get.

Get a 4400 stall-I have a 4400 stall and love it. I daily drive it everyday with 2.73 gears. I am going to be getting 4.10s soon enough to tighten her up, but even now it is fine. You can make it easier to drive by setting the stall lockup at like 25mph.

Get 4.10s, 3.90s or 3.73 gears-If you have a 2 series rear end (factory 2.73 gears) and do not care about mpg (which you shouldn't with a big stall and cam) then go with 4.10s. Everyone who says 4.10s are to much are the ones with 3.73s. Everyone who says go with 4.10s have 4.10s. I trust the guys running the gear to tell me whether or not its okay. If you have a 3 series carrier (factory 3.23 or 3.42 gear) you can get a happy medium between 3.73s and 4.10s by getting 3.90s (available at Thunder Racing). If for some reason you care about gas mileage, then go ahead and get the 3.73s.

I fill up less than every 200 miles with stock internals...
