If you have the combustion chamber CCs I'll put it in the calculator for you.

I am as far form an expert on this as you can get, so take this fwiw.

The cam card was a little hard to make out, but it appears to be a 228/228 with #3718 lobes, ground on a 113 LSA and installed 2 degrees advanced, for a 111 ICL.

Assuming a stock LS-1 shortblock, .042 gasket, and 63.67cc heads, my calculations yield a SCR of 11.017 and a DCR of 8.280. The IVC is 45 ABDC (@ 0.050).

Installing with 4 degrees of advance (109 ICL) boosts the DCR to 8.428 and pulls the IVC back to 43 ABDC.

Yes, your assumptions are correct. Thank you very much. I assume that is a safe DCR to run on the street with 93 octane gas, right?

Yes. Based on what I've read in other threads, the safe upper limit for 93 is around 8.8.

8.28 is a solid boost over the stocker's 7.07.

Good, maybe that will keep me well within the safe limits to possibly run nitrous in the future
