What heads to use on a naturally aspirated 415 ci?

I need some help deciding on what heads to use on my 415 ci L92 build. With so much competition out there, its hard to decide. A lot of great companies producing great products and awesome numbers. ETP, Trick Flow, AFR, etc. I'll be building a naturally aspirated 415 ci motor using a L92 block which has a 4.065" bore with a 4" stroke. This will be a stricly drag car. What do you recommend? At this point, with all the money its going to take building a motor from scratch, I'm going to reuse my FAST 90mm intake for now until more funds become available so that I can have a custom sheet metal intake built. Will this be ok, or is there another intake that isn't custom that I should consider? Thanks.

it matters to everyone dick... you have made this exact same thread no less than 3 times in the last month, and probably 8 times in the last 18 months. you are a tard, do some research of your own, or listen to what the professionals have been telling you for a long time.

i've replied with helpful posts before, but you have had professional engine builders tell you what to do in atleast two of the threads you have posted previously and you don't even take their advice into consideration. i think it has more to do with you wanting to "show everyone that you think you're building a 415", thing is noone cares. do some research, and take the good advice that is given to you, or buy a ****** kia.

skipperbisket, I'll have to go back and see what help you offered because I seriously don't remember. I need to back track a little to see what has been recommended to me before. Things have changed a little since I started researching. So I wana make sure that I do things right. Professional engine builders? Who? I didn't realize I had help from a professional. I have taken everyone's help into consideration, but there are still things that I haven't asked about and covered. I'm not trying to impress anyone with what I'm building. I'm building a L92 for the fact that for $300, I can get 13 more cubes than a LS2 and I can't afford a LS7 or Warhawk block.

Ok...ETP 255s look like a pretty good set to go with for my application. I gathered this up when I asked about building a 402 LS2. Will they still be sufficient even with 13 more cubes? Also, it has been a while since that thread, so I'm not sure if something better has come out between now and then. Is there any companies out there that are producing a better head or possibly one very similar for less money? ETP has always been talked about on here and so has AFR. I have noticed latley that Trick Flow is being talked about as well. What do you guys think?

How fast do you want to go. If you look at the Grocery Getter it's 700 pounds heavier than you and its going Ten Teens at 131 with ported 5.3 heads and the FAST 90 and a hydraulic roller and pump gas 408. It would be way in the 9s already at your weight.

There's no certain mph or ET that I want to obtain. 9s of course would be nice and I'm sure I'll be there with whatever I build. I'll be reusing my FAST 90mm intake for now until more funds become available, then that's when I'll have a custom sheet metal built. I'm gona upgrade later for sure, so I want to purchase a set of heads for future purposes, but will still perform well with my current intake. What grociery getter are you talking about? James'? I know there's quite a few head companies out there producing awesome heads for these motors. (ETP, AFR, Trick Flow, etc.) I can't afford 265s, so the step below that would be the 255s. What heads are comparable to the 255s? I'm just trying to decide if the ETPs are what I want or if I should really consider something else.

I don't know. That is another big decision. I've asked about this as well. I'm thinking of sticking with hydraulic because I don't want to mess with valve lash and have to monitor it often. There isn't a whole lot of room in these engine bays, not to mention I don't have the coils relocated. Plus, I've read that there isn't that much difference in power between the 2. Then since stroker motors aren't needed to spin as high to produce awesome power, then what is the point in getting a solid roller for high rpms. I still haven't decided, but I'm leaning towards a hydraulic setup.
