Confirmation of LS6 Block in 2002 Camaros?

Confirmation of LS6 Block in 2002 Camaros? Has anyone confirmed that the block used in the 2002's is the same that is used on the LS6? I know my block is different than those in 2000 and newer cars and also think the casting of the heads is different also.

Re: Confirmation of LS6 Block in 2002 Camaros? Some 2001 cars (later in the build-year) and all 2002 cars have the LS6 block. I'm not sure how to tell, I'm sure someone here will chime in with what to look for...

I heard (but do not know if it is true) that you can tell by looking for a small bevel in the block on the front passenger side near where the head bolts to the block. The LS6 blocks have this bevel, while the LS1s do not. Once again, I do not know if this is true.
Re: Confirmation of LS6 Block in 2002 Camaros? I concur with WeatherGuy. Look for the small routing hole where he described. Actually my car was made in March of 2000 and has it. Big Whooppee, its not like it helps <img src="images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
