What's the diffrence between LS6, 5.3L and 6.0L heads?
Well I'm fixing to pick a set up along with the MS3 but I'm trying to learn how they work and what's good and what's better. So what's the big diffrence? Texas speed has these heads on sale and I personally think they are pretty good for the price?
PRC LS6 CNC Ported Heads
Compared to these. What do ya'll think?
PRC 220cc 5.3L Stage 2.5 CNC Ported Heads
What about these?
PRC 6.0L Stage 2.5 CNC Ported Heads
Any recommendations? thoughts?
Jerry

I might be wrong.
The LS6 heads have a more desirable combustion chamber/valve Angle blah blah
I would still go with some 2.5 stage 5.3L
I have stock 243 heads(LS6) and they maybe made a 10-12 rwhp diff.

6.0L heads have 72cc chambers that will lower your compression. I just bought a used set of PRC LS6 2.5 heads. They were making 468rwhp on a 2002 Z06 with a Fast 90 and GX3 cam. Going to hand finish the ports before I install them on my car.

5.3L stage 2.5 CNC ported cylinder heads are probably the best bang for the buck though.. .

Also with the 5.3L stage 2.5 CNC ported cylinder heads don't go crazy big with a cam. The large 2.04 valves require flycutting pistons if you go to big on a cam. If this is your daily driver and your only ride, keep it simple and don't go overboard with a large radical cam. You can make plenty of power with a medium sized cam...Stick with a cam like the Texas Speed Torquer 2 232/234 .595/.598 or the TSP XS Series Camshaft 233/239, .595"/.603" Camshaft and keep it on a 114LSA. They both should make 420+RWHP and drive pretty nice...

just do some quick searches in the external engine section/ls1-ls6 internal section, there are tons of people that add their info in there... and you will find some good info

Your best bet is to pick up the phone and call Brian Tooley at T.E.A. (total engine airflow) he will spend as much time as you want on the phone with you and will get you the right set of heads for your budget and what you want the car to accomplish.
