Who has the strongest valve springs?
I need to know who sells the best vavle springs out there that i can put on without machine work to the heads? I'm looking at Comp. 918s,Comp. 941s and Isky. Which ones would hold more lift for my B1 cam? I won't the most life and my K motions are not doing it

I'd stay away from CC941's, they are made of a H-11 steel which requires all kinds of warm procedure and break in crap. These are widely known for breaking as well.
Morgan Motorsports(MMS) sells a spring which is not H-11 steel, and they give a 1 yr warranty on them. Check them out....

Re: Who has the strongest valve springs?
Well i placed an order for the comp. 918s yesterday morning and I'm happy from what i have learned is true about them. Thunder racing and MTI both say these springs are very strong springs and will hold a cam lift in the .600 range or a tad higher without an failure. The only downside is there are no titanium retainers out for them yet, that they know of,so i will have to use my stock retainers. These springs have been tested on the Hammer cam and Thunder cam without any problems and have worked flawless from what both companies have said. Guess we will see

Re: Who has the strongest valve springs?
I have the B1 and have been running the 941s for about 10k miles or so(since Feb), knock on wood, havent had one break. I just always try to let the car warm up for about 5 minutes or so. I also took out the inner spring when they first went in, most people have said that would make them fail sooner, but maybe for some freak reason it has helped.

yes MMS does offer the Erson valve springs which are supposed to hold well up to .600 lift. they had some problems with the comp cam springs i think the 941's. I have yet to install my valve springs but they are going in this week we'll see. i have the MMS 224v3 cam. .566 lift

Re: Who has the strongest valve springs?
Thanks for the props on the pic. I had a buddy(so slow)to catch a pic of the car on the launch so i can have one for my files but honestly i did not know i was pulling the wheel on my launches.
Now i need to get the car together and pull the wheels like that again and blast off to a 11.6 to 11.5 with a 1.59 60ft. I will MAKE the car do it lol

Re: Who has the strongest valve springs?
aren't the the inner springs in the 914's put there for harmonics???
i had my 914 springs and .537 lift for 20k miles and i warm the motor up every time i start it, and guess what i had two spring faliures in the last month!!
i don't think the faliures are due to warming up an such , but are most likely fatigue related???
just my $.02
