If you can, I would get the book on the right.
I saw on HorsePower TV or some such, that the guy that wrote that book, is the guy that innovated dropping LS1's from the bottom as opposed to pulling them out the top.
I might ask for that book for christmas, ive also read on here its a "must have".

Me and Bluecat have done both of my h/c swaps. Not too hard, but I preferred to have his experience just to make sure I don't miss anything.

I did not use any books but i plan on getting the one on the right just for my information. ls1howto.com has all the instructions that you will need for a heads and cam swap. I just did mine last weekend it was not hard but time consuming. Good luck

The one on the right is the one you would want to use. Never hurts to have both however. Haynes manuals always have stuff that others don't.

Did you do your own installs? If you did, how'd it go? Was in a PITA? I plan on installing my Heads/CAM whenever I get it
