ok well my battery went dead on me at the fbody stang shootout, and i had to jump her once again this weekend... car seems to run fine after i get her warmed up... but for like the first 5-10 mins the abs light comes on, radio cuts off for a sec, i can feel the brakes lock up a tad bit... my abs, brake, check oil light come son for a sec and goes off...
i just switched my 15's back to 17's and everything was fineeee till i did that and had to jump the car...
so i guess im down to 2 things... if my car adjusting from going from skinnies an 16's on rear up to 17's again? or do i need new battery??? any ideas?? car seems to be charging fine though... its right around the half way mark...
i didnt know if a dead cell or 2 might cause that freaky stuff???

i checked the battery on the meter and with the car off it was at 12volts... flipped the load switch and it went to 11volts
ok i started car and it was a tad under 14volts.. flipped the load switch and it went back to 11...
so is that a bad battery??

Take the battery out of your Rustang and see if it will fit and try it. You can use jumper cables and test that way if won't fit (still bypassing your current battery. Then run your load test and see what happens

thanks! I was thinking of just tossing in a new battery to see what happens but my voltage seems normal to me

I've never heard of changing wheels cause this. Try checking the voltage on your battery and alternator.

The ABS module will set a low voltage code if there isn't enough voltage. That maybe why the ABS light was set on. I would have the battery checked, or just replaced if its old. Make sure the cable ends are clean, and also check the ground cable on the block and the Positive battery cable on the starter to make sure they are not loose.

I know it's a simple thing, but check your + battery terminal and bolt. All the zinc plating corroded off my terminal bolt and sometimes would make good contact, other times nada. A buck for a bolt cured my problem. I even had a load test on the battery (was fine) during one of the good-contact phases.
