Default MAC headers w/ Off-Road....

I'm looking at getting the MAC's w/ the off-road Y. I like the setup, the price, and the aggressive sound but how do I avoid the rasp between 2200-2500 rpm?? My buddy has this setup on his 2000 Z and the rasp drives me nuts. Is this avoidable??

They kind of go where your cats would go on the y pipe after the collectors. Or you could just do a single in the intermediate pipe.
