porting throttle body?
If you are looking in your throttle body, you will notice a ledge or lip right before the blade. try to smooth this out as much as possible while making sure you do not hit the blade. What you are doing is creating a much better path into your intake. I believe the ported ones that you can buy actually use a bigger valve thus allowing for a larger bore throttle body.... I hope this helps...
how much do the stock TB's flow (cfm?) and how much do the MTI ported ones flow?
Making the blad bigger would add expense while offering little or no gain since you are still limited by the inlet size of the intake manifold.

I personally would hate to do it with a dremel, my air compressor / die grinder / carbide bit setup works great for stuff like this.
Took about two hours to get it where I wanted it. Don't go too far - there's water in that thar throttle body!
