Default New dynatech stepped longtubes!

Just got a look at my set today before they go on the car. They look really sweet. Same craftsman ship as I've seen in the FLP's. The welds were very clean, and the coating looks awesome. I'm anxious to see what they do for me on the stroker. Will keep ya posted!

oooohhhh baby! cant wait to see what the Formula does on the dyno now. 550rwhp? What kind of exhaust (or lack there of ) will you be running with em?

Oh yeah, are you going to be able to make it to RCR saturday? Id love to meet you and see the car in person.

I have no guess on what the longtubes are gonna be worth... My MACS aren't your avergae MAC header...they have been aggressively modified.

I'm gonna try my best to make it. Its gonna be real tight though. A whole bunch of things are gonna have to fall into place for it to happen.

the std. 1 3/4" longtubes are around 500 fulley coated with collectors/o2 bungs. there are no provisions for egr or air. that it the difference (along with the cats/v-flanges) between FLP's and dynatechs...same company. the stepped version isnt going to be out in full force until next month. they are 1 3/4-1 7/8" collectors are your choice still, but 3 1/2" will probably be the norm. they will likely be closer to 600-700 for these. neither have a y-pipe, or collectors for that manor...the distributors are adding them i believe.

Larry, if it all works out, I'd love to see the 422 out there. especially with some 16 x 3 1/2" extensions on 3 1/2" collectors.

500 bucks? With the collectors, coated?

You need a custom bent ypipe if i'm not mistaken.

I dont know about running 9's the frist time out. Im guessing he will be in the 10.3~10.2 range his first time out. 9's would kick *** though. LS1's are getting insanely fast now

I agree with Colonel. I was even discussing this with PSJ just the other day. Dropping the 422 is a big change. There have been ALOT of other changes as well, so not only engine, but also suspension tuning is going to be an issue. To be honest I would really be suprised at a 10.5 on the maiden track runs. We all know the car has the potential to run really well. But you have to be realistic.

I was actually hesitant to even post the dyno clip, and numbers. Because I'm leary of a backlash of naysayers if the car doesn't run a 10.0 out of the box.

I went through the same thing with my heads/cam setup. It had great potential all along, it just took a little tweaking to get it into the low low 11's. If I hadn't done the stroker you would have definately seen a 10.xx pass out of the heads/cam this year.

Anyways... Thanks for all the compliments..I also want to thank Colonel who has been an INVALUEABLE (sp?) source of information!

Is anyone stocking these stepped headers yet? I inquired earlier this week to a sponsor on the board and they told me they stepped headers won't be shipping until next year. I sold my Grots and am ready to buy a set now

Thanks

I think ~10.3-5s would be more realistic. It depends so much on weight, weather, and track but 9s is asking too much for a first time out.
