LSK & XER LOBES AND STOCK LIFTERS WHOS DOING IT
would like to know how many people are using the stock lifters, on the lsk lobes.
basic lee im wondering if ill have a problem with my lifters (94,000mi.) if i use lsk lobes.
im not worried about the lifters on the xer lobes, but the extra lift from the lsk lobes might over stress them?

With 94k on the engine, I would go ahead and repalce them anyway. You can go with stock or spend extra and get Morels, it doesn't matter.

SDPC Came out with OEM replacement lifters that are suppose to handle the high lift/rpm. Wished they were announced about a week earlier since i had just put my car back together. Ahh well, if i have to take the heads off i'll replace them with the SDPC's.

Haven't had a problem with my stock lifters and LSK lobes yet. Don't know how many miles I have on the setup, 2-3k I believe. Lifters had 30k miles on them before the cam. Running Patriot Gold springs and just finally installed the correct length Comp pushrods yesterday. The stock pushrods were all bent slightly and there was a lot of valvetrain noise. Now with the 7.350" pushrods (what I got from the length checker), the valvetrain noise is gone. These are definitely shorter than my stock ones even though they were all bent slightly.
Haven't had any problems with collapsed lifters or anything though, even with too long of pushrods.
I'll replace them with something better whenever they fail or I have a new shortblock ready, unless the heads need to be off before then. They will be replaced then with either LS7s or Morels.

I replaced my torn up lifters (bad cam grind) but I replaced them with stock lifters. They now have over 30K miles, and are doing great. I wouldnt bother changing out the lifters unless youve got very high milage or are planning on pulling the heads anyway and just want the extra piece of mind.
