"Phewww"!! is all i've got to say because.... I passed smog today!!!!!!!
Yes I have
Comp cam 212/218
FLP's LONG TUBE HEADERS
and the boltons.
I take it to the local unocal station, and the guy is already shaking his head cuz he sees my engine as well as my car shaking at idle..hehe.. heres how it looked:
on the pre smog test:::::
Max hydrocarbons at 15mph is 49--me 22
Max Hydrocarbons at 25mph is 33--me 16
so i pass the pre smog test no problem, but the real test is where i came close to not passing. I attribute this to the fact that after the pre test he shut the car off and allowed it to cool. If he would have kept it running, i should have passed with a lot better numbers. but nonetheless i passed.
so the real test
Max Hydrocarbons at 15mph--49 me-->48
Max Hydrocarbons at 25mph--33 me-->16
all the other parts of the test i pass with flying colors, i chose the hydrocarbon part cuz thats what I, as well as most other people, are worried about.
phewwwwwwwwwww......
oh, and the guy was telling me i need a tune up cuz my car shakes too much..LOL gotta love it...

Funny you mention the "tune up" thing, the middle eastern guy that tested my Formula was saying the same thing: "Your car misfire badly, not supposed to shake that bad, it need motor work on"
Then he asked me if I needed an estimate for him to give my car a tune up Bwhahahahaha!

We threw their asses out one time, it was nothing but a scam for ******** to make money with. "Adjust your headlights for $5" and that kind of crap across the street from the inspection stations. So many inspectors were getting assaulted they finally started adjusting the headlights for free, LOL.
