Haha, no.
You really need to get some lca relocation brackets to correct your lower control arm geometry with those lowering springs. $75 plus $50 to have them welded on.
I would also buy some subframe connectors to maintain the structural rigidity of your car. $125 plus $75 to have them welded in.
You could buy some used MAC headers for about $400 and buy the O2 simms with the remaining money. You'll have to install them yourself if you want to stay within your budget. You'll probably need a MAF translator b/c the headers will make you run rich.
It is a neverending cycle of money spending.
Don't waste your money on gears with an A4 at this point. When and if you get a converter you will have all the tq multiplication you'll need.

anyways, a converter is a great mod though. do you already have one or do you not want to do that yet? it'd give a greater gain than gears with tires able to launch with it. you get the better launch like the gears, but your gas mileage stays the same cause there is no increase of rpms like with the gears. there's the guy selling his used MAC headers for like $450 and that's a good buy with everything. then you got a couple hundred for the subframe connectors and anything else little. don't forget used stuff. the best way for the budget modder!!

If you dont wanna go with a converter now I would go with a set off MACs. Im pretty sure RPM Outlet has em Brand new with the OR pipe for $485!!! Also a cutout would give good power for cheap!Relocatoin brackets would be good also since you car is lowered. So...
$485 Macs and ORP
$100 for O2 sims
$75 for cutout + install
$125 for Relocation Brackets
Might as well change plugs and wires while you do headers.
$100
=$885
you could get all this or the EWP

summit has taylor wire for like $50 bucks and a set of NGK TR55's is about $15(actually less)
$50+$15= $65
$885-$35= $850...... you could recycle cans for that extra 50 bucks!

You could do what Terry or Berger said thats a good idea I could do that now but im still waiting. What you could do, and what i might do, is go to BMR's site and check out their packages. I was looking and they have a full (STB, SFC's, LCA's, PHR, and torque arm) for something like $675 for the exact price, just go to www.BMRfabrication.com i think it is.

Why on earth do you not want a converter? That is the absolute best mod for an A4. It will put your car on a different level. With the money you have to spend, I wouldn't consider anything else. I bought my converter (sig) used. The price of that and the installation came to around $800. You can get all the bolt ons, minus a converter, and a LS1 with no mods BUT a converter will tear your *** up.

Yup, that is absolutely the best mod for an A4 except for a 422 solid roller motor and I think that 422 might be out of your price range.
I would go for a ST3500 if I were you. No freaking doubt. The lca relocation brackets are still a must imo with a lowered car.

a set of headers. new set of macs, used set of long tubes from one of the manufacturer's. do you drag race a lot? maybe a set of e.t. streets. SUBFRAME CONNECTORS ARE A MUST. that's only about $130 and then whatever install is. good luck with your decision.

Since you have an Auto, you may want to consider a set of 373 gears to pair up with your converter. The combination of the two will give you a huge gain at the track and on the street. Best bang for the buck next to nitrous.

Why dont you try out that new JRP EWP....SUPPOSED to give 3.5 tenths and 3.5mph. You be the test mule and let me know how it works. I just dont have the 850 to blow on a few hp.
