Default MMS224v3 cam idle in a a4

I'm up in the air as far as which cam to go with. My main question is the idle w/ no pcm tuning. It's an a4 with most of the bolt ons. If I bump the idle to 850 could I make the MMS224v3 cam idle well? Anybody know the lsa and brand of the who grinds the MMS224v3 cam? My other option is the hammer cam on a 114. Let me know what you guys think. It has a very small verter in it also(~2500). I'm told that will help the idle.

Dont know who its actually ground by, but its ground for Morgan MotorSports, thats the sponser you'd go to to buy a new one. 114 LSA.

the 224v3 cam has a 568 lift i believe on a 112 and maybe a 114 also??? thunder has the same cam i believe, people are getting good numbers with just that cam with stock heads, ive heard that the idle will need to be bumped to @ 900 for a good idle in a4

The Thunder Racing 224 and the MMS 224v3 are not the same cam and do not have exactly the same lobes. They do have similar specs at a glance so sometimes there is some confusion. Just wanted to clear that up.

I love how Geoff pretends like his cams are "specially designed by him", even though there are only 2-3 lobes to pick from in the competition cams catalogue for his lifts. What a joke. <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

Isn't that true for all of the tuners. I mean, what real input do they have in designing a profile .....and unless they pay for the master, what possible influence could they exert on Comp Cams, Lunati, Isky, Crower, etc.?
