Default What's Up With Grotyohann ???

Other than ordering Grots from a distributor, has anyone bought directly from Grotyohann?

I ordered headers from him at 1-973-228-6402. He said he'd ship the headers to a coating company which would ship them to me. The y-pipe and cats would be shipped directly to me, two days transit time. My card was charged on 1/8 and as of today, 1/17, I've heard nothing. Left a message on his machine a couple days ago and call not returned. Tried three times today and got recording that phone not in service. On the fourth call, I got through and left a message for him to call me. Now I see a couple of negative posts on this board about him. Any feedback is appreciated.

Roger "Gotyourmoney" has done nothing but lie to his customers about when their headers will ship.

I was one of Roger's first 50 customers and waited over 6 months for my headers, call your CC company, cancel them, and get something else, at least you have a choice!

I didn't, they were the only header available back then.

He made a post on LS1.COM about 2 years ago, concerning him and his business, I skewered him in about a 3 page reply, so did about 50 other people, hadn't heard much from him since.

ARE has a GP going on for them right now I think. They are great headers, just hard to get. I got lucky I guess.

Well, I was up in Toronto a couple weeks ago talking with Nick about having some work done including headers. Since he didn't have Grots, and since they are hard to get, I ordered them direct. Hope Nick has better luck than I have.

RUN, RUN away
Rodger is the bigest DICK you will ever deal with.
I had to get a lawer to get my headers from him.
After waiting 4-5 months. Then no Y-pipe
agian The lawer had to get him to send it.
The Y-pipe is a huge piece of ****. I think
I could have made a better one from pep boy
parts bin. And now 1 year later I have never
recieved my 02 sims, extensions, or stage 8
locks That I paid for from him.

Thanks for all the replies. Rodger the Dodger has a cancallation message on his phone, credit card dispute form is in the mail, and UPS notified to return merchandise if it shows up. If it's as bad as all this, I don't see how distributors can do business with him.

Try LG Motorsports, that's where I got mine. You'll have to call them and see if they have any, they don't list the Grot's on there website. The number is on the site. Best of luck.

The ARE GP is extended until Tuesday. Talk to Nick; he's dealing with the issues and buying enough that he should have Rodger's attention.

I've never dealt with him, but it seems like he could be out of business pretty soon. Bad service is tolerated when you're the only game in town. He makes a a nice header, but it is pricey and the competition has really increased in the past few months with the Hookers & Dynatechs, not to mention TTS, FLP & SLP.

You should just get a set of hooker long tubes or some dynatechs.

Since the Grots won't happen, I'm thinking of the Hookers. Problem is whether a couple of R/T cats can be put in the y-pipe. Talked to Hooker yesterday and they have no idea concerning clearance. Will have to wait and see.

I think FREAK just put in his hooker long tubes and had a custom y pipe made you should contact him and ask how it fits.

Slp longtubes are the best in my opinion and they already come ceramicly coated inside and out so you don't have to wait for them to get sent out and get coated before you get them.

Heh, you're only at the start..

I waited 5 months after my card was charged to get my set, only managing to talk to him 1 time in between, leaving 10 or more messages..

The quality really can't be beat, but you're better off buying from a reseller like Thunder or More Performance when they have them in stock. I don't know if I'd even go with ARE, when I was shopping for my H/C Nick never called me back after 3 calls, so I went with Mike @ MMS. Seems customer service in the LS1 arena is spotty at best.

My experience with Grotyohann was great. Spoke to Roger on the phone when I ordered the full 1 7/8, he gave me a delivery date and they were here before that date. No problems. Period.

He now makes full (not stepped) 1 7/8" headers?

BTW, since you've had a good experience with him, you are in a VERY small minority to say the least!

Yes they are full 1 7/8" tubes, he said we got the first set he had made. We have had them for about 2 months. Must have been our lucky day, good service & a new product

GP for them at ARE (you don't have to deal with Rodger). They would probably be a nice addition to the big bore motor. Check it out in the sponsors section.

??? I don't know ??? All I know is I spoke with Nick earlier today about arranging for him to work on my engine in March. I told him of my trouble ordering direct and he said he would have a set for me when I bring the car in.
