Default 1.85 rockers, simple question

looking for some that are none adjustable. i can put them on, and forget about them. not having to adjust them every 10k miles.

can be 1.8, not overly picky.

a set of GOOD rockers.

They used to be available from SLP (1.85s). They may still be available. I'll keep this open in this section for a short time, then I'm moving this to the parts wanted section.

it wasn't a wanted add so to speak. more or less looking for something in the lines of rockers, that i don't have to adjust, be it yella terra, comp, crane, jesel. i hate running valves every 10k miles

They all have to be adjusted at the installation to get the lifter preload don't they?

I haven't had to adjust my Cranes since the initial installation.

Not on non-adjustable rockers with hydraulic lifters. The preload can only be adjusted via pushrod length or shimming. Adjustable rockers should be set in the beginning just to make sure theyre all uniform.

throw a set on, set lash, forget about. none are that simple?

adjustable to me means just that, set them, 10k later, have to adjust them again

SLP sells 1.85 ratio rockers that look identical to the factory rockers and require zero ajustment like factory rockers. I think they come with an upgraded trunion bearing also.

That's what I meant. You are adjusting the non-adjustible on the initial install.

I don't have to re-adjust my Cranes, only when I remove them for other reasons. It isn't required every 10K miles, but it will be during a spring change. Once you know how to do it, its not a big deal.

How much lift would going to a 1.85 rocker add to the cam?

I'm currently running G5X3/114 with ETP heads at 59cc with .140 clearance on the intake...Would it still clear?

I certainly would like to get a more LSK'ish type lift out of my current setup....

TIA

New lift = current lift X new rocker ratio / 1.7

So if your lift was 0.600 and your new rocker was 1.82, then

New lift = 0.600 X 1.82/1.7 = 0.642

How would this lift relate to current clearance...Should I consider losing +.040 or will I still be within safe limits?

Any idea on power increases going with these big lifts over my current setup?

TIA
