Default any problems with tr224 cam and stock rocker arms?

Has anybody had problems running the tr224 cam with stock rocker arms? They say not to use them on the website, just wondering what the ill effects were?

i think they do not recommend the use of 1.8 ratio rockers. you will be fine with stockers - almost everyone uses them!

The factory rockers are fine with your 224 cam. I would only be concerned about upgrading in the event you went with a much larger cam(solid roller) that required much stiffer springs.

Ok, I thought 1.8 rockers were what came stock on the ls1. This is good b/c I really didn't want to change the rockers as well. Thanks!

1.7
You could upgrade your stock rockers if you wanted to by Harland Sharp.

Usually they recommend not to use the 1.8 rockers and up.

Stock rockers are fine with the TR224. I am running stock ones with my cam in my sig. If you are worried about the needle bearings spilling out, one of the best options out there for a non-adjustable rocker setup is having them rebuilt...--->nastyperformance

I will be getting mine rebuilt in the spring, when I goto a much more aggressive cam(250/256 108 +1). I have had two of mine spill needle bearings now. I am not surprised though, I have made 4 mis-shifts at 7000 rpm. The stock pushrods must look like springs when I do that. Oh well it will all be put back together the correct way when my cam goes in.

These guys are dead on, your fine with the stock rockers. I'd say if we had a poll on it, the number of people using stockers would be overwhelming.
