I'm pretty impressed.
Here's a shocker for ya,
Borla completely closed - 363.3hp/379.4tq.
Borla Wide open-359.6 hp/375.7tq
3.7 hp/3.7tq LOSS.
I think I'll keep it quiet.

HPP3 power tuning showed a very small gain
maybe 2hp/2tq gain, but like the fuel curve better.
(gets progressivly richer)
But Most important 01 STOCK MOTOR all the bolt
ons,Moser 12 bolt w/ 4.10 gears.

I don't really care what the numbers say,
give me the track. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> If I trap @ 116 I'll crap my pants!

FUEL INJECTION PERFORMANCE KIT.
Made by K&N.
Terry- I know,I had FRA but I gave it to someone
else since I didn't need it anymore.I didn't
plan on testing them back to back. Now someone
else has to test it. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
I can't wait to see what it does on weatherguy's
422.

Re: FIPK Dyno results
I keep seeing positive results from the K&N FIPK, so I guess I'll be trying one in place of my FTRA and Direct-Flow lid/Holley filter when I get my car back together...
Now, why the hell did it take K&N so long to come out with this? <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0">

Re: FIPK Dyno results
Originally I saw this months ago.
I figured it was a good idea, but no one was
running them.So I figured it was a waste of money.
I guess I was wrong.
I'm very happy w/ the results. <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Thanks for posting the results. The good detail was also very appreciated.
The results are VERY interesting, to say the least. The question everyone is going to want to know now is what this translates to at the track. In the meanwhile, I think we are going to get a few more dyno runs from other people before that happens.

Re: FIPK Dyno results
Someone should do a test of FIPK and DirectFlo + FTRA at the track. Since FTRA does not show up on the dyno, it's really not fair to say the car performs better with the FIPK. If the MPH at the track of the FIPK is higher than the DirectFlo + FTRA, then you can truly say it makes more power. Not trying to flame the dyno numbers, just trying to be realistic.

Re: FIPK Dyno results
Your post is legitimate.
But how big is the opening on the FTRA?That's how
I think of it.It can only flow so much, even if
there is a 'Ram air' effect.I could be wrong,
until people start track-testing it,we don't know.
I've learned this though: If I dyno higher,I trap
higher.I try and keep it simple. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Re: FIPK Dyno results
I'll take the "guaranteed" 6-7 HP over the entire 1/4 mile with the FIPK over the "maybe" few HP offered by a FRA configuration at the last 1/3 (if that) of the track.

Because nobody wanted to hear it. I installed it back in August. It was my my first mod and I got 22 rwhp gain over stock on a dyno. Posted the results up on LS1.com, CZ28 and SLP ...
New technology, pretty much ran into a "it can't possibley be better than a lid/FRTRA" bias.
