N0 1 cylinder missfiring need help
Ok I put my motor back together it is a 382 lunati stroker have the supercharger on motor but not hooked up no belt. Started the motor and have misfiring on the no 1 cylinder. Pulled the plug wire and has fire checked spark plug had gas on it and checked fire at plug it was ok. Checked compression on 2 cyl. and both had 180# pulled the valve cover and checked to see if the rocker arms were ok and they were. Changed plugs, coils, and wires still has misfire on no 1. Changed 3 computers (thanks cable.) still has misfire on that cyl. Please help I don't know what else to do. Btw I changed the injectors also. thanks <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Re: N0 1 cylinder missfiring need help
We are thinking the cam may be off one tooth. 2bseen has deep valve relief and extra thick head gasket for lower compression so maybe the valves are fine. The car backfires out of the drivers side header and you can hear air coming OUT of the intake when he is trying to start it. This seems to indicate wrong valve timing....cam misintalled is all we can think of. The car shakes a lot even at 1500-2000 rpms. Could a cam off by one tooth still run and/or cause a solid misfire? Things that have been checked/replaced......injectors, plug, coil, maf, pcm, compression is 182....same as #5(only other checked as a reference) Flames shoot out of the header on the drivers side as well.

I think if it was off by one tooth you would have bent all the valve on startup.
Any ses codes?
Did you do a crank position relearn?
There are many things that could be wrong here.
I replaced my crank sensor a few months ago and it was the cause of a hard start problem and other problems.
