I take it you got the car all together and are driving around a tp4400/224 XE-r equipt car.
How is it working out?
Got any track times yet?
How are the valve springs working out? Comp 26918's right?

Trevor D,
I would like to know also. So, What's up TD how is your Hot Rod running. I think I read that you ran maybe last weekend. If so, How did you do in the Brackets? (Times I need some times)

I've had my xer 224 for over a month. It pulls hard! Cam only times are in sig. Picked up 37 rwhp with the cam, 918s, and pushrods. I think the 918s should be fine but I would change the springs yearly to be safe. I'm going w/ a dual spring when I get my MTI heads soon.
Props to MTI on a badass cam

Yep, the cam has been in for close to two weeks, and it's awesome. I got the PCM back from Ed Wright last Friday, and I hope to throw it on the dyno tomorrow. I haven't been to the track yet due to the weather. I'm going to make another attempt this Saturday.
This cam paired up with the PT4400 is AWESOME! The car pulls incredibly hard, and I'm amazed at how quick the car is with just a cam. I have the shift points at 6,600; I had to go off of Onyx's dyno graph to determine my shift points. I bought all of my stuff from Tom at Speed Inc., and they have two degrees of advance ground into the cam vs. MTI's 4 degrees. I went with the 918 springs, 772 retainers, and stock-length hardened pushrods. I have the idle set right at 800 in gear, and it's perfect. It thumps nicely, and I don't have any surging, stalling, etc. that usually comes with a cam install. Ed really makes the setup streetable. He has converter lockup at 30 MPH with the shifter in 3rd and 35 MPH with the shifter in OD. It makes it nice with the fat stall. I'm already used to the converter. Knock on wood, the springs are doing just fine. Like Onyx said, changing the springs out once a year is a good idea with the beating they take from the ramps and lift.
Check the drag racing section Saturday night to see how she ran. Needless to say, I'm pretty damned anxious. FWIW, my raceweight should come in right around 3,575# vs. my 3,505# since I now have a 4-pt. cage in the car. I'm going to take it to Wolfe in the next few weeks to have a removable swingout 5th point added. Gotta have it legal for the Super Chevy Show in May!

I'm going to drop my car off that Friday to get a decent spot in the pit, but I'm not going to run T&T. Saturday time trials start at 9 a.m., and a seperate bracket event is supposed to start around 1 or 2. I'm planning on running the separate Saturday bracket event. On Sunday, they'll have the eliminations for the regular Super Chevy racing. Eliminations start at 9:00. If you're planning to go, I'd highly recommend trying to book a motel now. They get booked up quick!

I have nearly the same combo (XE-R 224 on a 114 and YTP 4200) and it is docile. Docile enough to make me wonder if I should have gotten the 228/228. I have the idle at 900 and may bring it down to 850; sounds pretty stock with a quiet exhaust.
I have a small amount of surge when I first start-up when its warm out, but I'll figure that out soon. Top end power feels very good. I shift at 6800.
