What happens when you put on 6.0 heads
I was thinking of getting some stock 6.0 heads to drop my CP, for my T-76 ls1 set up.
Will these flow much worse then my stock, heads if i leave them unported.
I've done a search about them and they look like thell flow better, with a lower CP to about 9.5:1, + thicker gasket, about 9.0:1
Trying to find a cheap way to lower the CP so i dont blow the engine too soon. I hear they go for 350-450 bills (thats assembly right?)

I say keep what you have, really watch your tuning and save for the lower compression pistons. Take the 350 and invest in a alky/h20 kit like they use on turbobuick.com and that will really help control detonation.

6.0 heads have a 70cc chamber which would reduce compression and that's not a bad thing. I'm not sure about what gaskets are available.

they are actaully a big bigger than that
you must use 6.0l gaskets when you use them
I picked mine up from the porter last night. sure are purty <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

they aren't big enough to fit. Hard to see in the pics, but the fire ring of the 5.7 gasket is just inside the edge of the chamber.
Compare to the relief you have w/ the 6.0 metal gasket.
Still waiting on the mid lift flow numbers, but the peak on the intake was just over 300 at .600 lift

6.0 heads are better than stock ls1 heads. They have the intake/exhaust port config similar to LS6 head.
If you think about it, out of the box is a very capable port even without porting.
