Default TSP torquer V2, Cometic .040" gaskets-SAFE?

I am contemplating installing a TSP torquer V2 cam with cometics .040" gaskets, Patriot LS6 CNC heads with 64 CC chambers and not cut down more than .004" to clean head up.
Anybody run this cam and head gasket?

Stock '01 LS1 shortblock.

Safe piston to valve clearance?
Can I use the stock lenth pushrods?

Thanks for any input in advance!

PTVC should be good with that setup.

You will need different pushrods. Buy a pushrod checker to see the exact length you need.

I'm going with same heads and gaskets but the FMS13 cam. I was told the 7.400 pushrods will be fine

Should be, id still measure though, a checker is only $20 and takes like 5 minutes to check it.

The people that dont check it and just throw in any rod are the ones complaining about all the noise that their engine makes after the cam swap. Do it right and it will quiet down some.

Thanks for the tips everyone, much appreciated.
After talking with Speed Inc. , I am considering the SI3 cam: 224/224, .581/.581 114 lsa
Kinda nervous the V2 will touch the pistons.

Any thoughts? Anyone with same combo?

Thanks!

TSP told me that the TQR 2 cam would be safe for me with my AFR heads milled -.020 off and using the stock .054 GM head gasket. -.020 off puts me right about 62.5 CC @ 10.85:01 compression with my set up. Its always best to measure.

I just made 425 RWHP and 400 RWTQ with my 228 R on a 114 and a off tune.

I'm going to use the V2 torquer Dart Pro 1's, Cometic gasket, TSP 7.4 P/R's, LS6 intake, I 'm hoping for 430 at the R/w's

Id just double check the push rob length. I noticed when I went from the TR224 to the TDP 228R with the same 7.40 push rods, I picked up a little more valve train noise

It's a nice cam. Not to big, and not to small
