Re: Screwed?? Didn't use Loctite during cam install...
I didn't read anything about locktight on the site I used..torque central I think it was..
so hopefully nothing will come apart.Actually don't understand why they can't use lockwashers on critical stuff..that would seem to me even better than locktite but maybe cause its hard to get proper torque specs with lockwashers??? Any mechanics know the answer..

I just torqued everything to specs when I did my Hot Cam install at 23,000 miles. 17,000 miles later I checked the cam sprocket bolts while doing the ring bulletin... all is well.

Screwed?? Didn't use Loctite during cam install...
I just torqued everything down to the service manual specs.
It said not to use anything on the cam retainer and sprocket.
Do I have to pull it apart? Anyone have a cam related bolt come loose?
I'm getting kind of nervous here...

I think the Loc-Tite is mainly just cheap insurance. We've always used it on our cam swaps just to be on the safe side. If the service manual doesn't call for it you are most likely ok.
