That's true, low end power just cooks the tires on this car....maybe I should be looking for a cam that is more peaky. Something that would make crazy power from 4000-7000+rpm

I got one for you but you'll have to flycut since you milled your heads.

231/240 .643/.608 114+4 LSA (Custom grind Comp lobes)

How much power would this give me?? gains over what I have? So, pull the heads, flycut the pistons, and buy a new set of 0.040 cometic gaskets...sounds ok to me. Total $500-600 in parts, and just my time.

They are the 5.3s I got for a measly $1300. The car has been working great for 3yrs now.

I really am considering the TEA 1.5's, Fast 90/90 and X1, but after doing the math it adds up close to the price of an ATI system. To me the supercharger is less hastle and will give more power and drivabilty. Probably better on fuel? What's your thought?

It is about 1/2 the price of a FI application.

Heads 1500, Cam 400, Fast 1300 about $3300 in parts. (with gaskets and fluids)

There is always extra costs though, unless you skip the timing chain/oil pump and don't get upgraded injectors and fuel pump???? Question, what level of horsepower with a H/C setup can you get away with no fuel upgrades? On a 2001 with 55,000 miles would it be retarded not to get the timeing chain/oil pump? With the TEA/X1/Fast would it be most necessary? Skip the them and the fast that's over 2000

Is it possible to run a cam like this with no tune, just to get it to the dyno after I install myself? I have a couple hour highway drive then through a city. Good ole Canada, don't have dyno's down the street like most of you

I just got some green tops in the for sale section for $200 shipped. You just got to keep your eyes out for things in there as it moves so quickly.

When I made 399, it did not have an underdrive pulley. I haven't gotten a good dyno run since I got the pulley on and the tuning dialed back in. I really want that 400 number. I know it doesn't mean anything special but dammit I want it!

I believe mine was cut on a 110 but I don't recall. I'd have to dig out my cam card to be sure but off the top of my head it was either 110.4 or 110.2 lsa.
