Default Cam questions are over, ordered a TR 224/227

Well, I broke down and did it. Paul at Thunder Racing talked me into the 224/227 on a 112LS. I went that route, because I wanted a bit more of a aggressive idle, and he said that it would be more aggressive than the 224/224. Plus, I figure that it will respond better to a good set of longtubes.
Cant hardly wait !!! Have an install appoinment for the 17th ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Congrads on the new cam. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Paul knows what he is talking about. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

Good luck with the new cam. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

When you get the Hot Rod finished head to one one the 100 tracks in your part of the country and post some times. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Thanks fellas, Coach, hahaha, there are FAR from 100's of tracks in my area. We do have a 1/8th mile track here in town. So I suppose I should go down and get a few baseline runs in before I put the cam in, and then another after the headers.

Booker, thanks, Im glad I didnt go with the hotcam like I was planning, and Paul set me straight on the 228 and 226 cams I was considering too, just dont wanna spin my motor much past 6600.

Anyone have any guesstimates on rwhp increases with just cam, and then with cam and Hooker LT's?

Which cam are you talking about? The reverse split 227/224 or some other split patter cam that is a 224/227?

Comeon, anyone got any guesses on power increases on this thing? With just the cam, and then with cam and Hookers ?
