Default Parts for replacing stock bottom end

My cam requires a little more space and I want to
raise the limiter to about 7300rpm and shift at 6900rpm. I have the G5 cam and on the dyno my peak is at 6870rpm. I have the shift points at 6500rpm and limiter at 6800rpm and I'm not happy.
Will replacing my bottom end help any!

The bolts are the "weakest link" (sorry) in that engine. At the very least get some Katech bolts. The best thing would be to cross-drill and nitride the crank, and rebalance with some GOOD rods and pistons.

How much is it overall just to beef up the stock bottom end...

When I do it I would most likely step up to stronger rods, pistons, bolts....would that be under 1000??

rods alone are upwards to 1000 depending on what you get. You can get the Lunatis for ~700 but there is a significant backorder on those

Pistons range 700-800 bucks

So 700-1000 for rods, 120ish for rod bolts, and another 700-1000 for pistons...so its around 1500-2000 bucks to have a pretty damn good bottom end??

If you do the measuring/assembly yourself. Add $1500 for a good shop to assemble, if not.
