Jeez chill out.
Why would I be knocking you at all. I have Cartek S2 heads sitting next to me and a 224/224 on the way. BTW, I am an A4. I simply meant that you could increase your gaind with tuning and an UD pulley. Pulleies DO NOT cause charging problems.
An 11 sec car is not a monster. Get into the 10s and we'll talk. Come to a car show with me and I'll show you 6 LS1 F bodies that are in the 11s.
Chill out.

Terry, maybe you should go home before the valve springs on your motor pop off by themselves. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I think a M6 will dyno higher than A4 locked.
But who cares?
I am not impressed w/ the dyno #'s or the track times.
If I spent 3k+ and I dyno'd less than 400 RWHP,I'd be pissed.
Regardless of company (MTI.ARE,MMS, Cartek)
But that's just me.
You can brag all you want, but I'd hand you *** all day long on the street and
at the track.(stock motor)
To me, that's what counts.
But mine is not an everday driver.
RAGEman-you may have to change your 'lightest' status in your sig. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
The war rages on..............
These are just MY opinions, but pay no attention,I am an Idiot.

You can even start a new post in DRIVETRAIN with this appearantly secret info, since it is a drivetrain comparison. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

nysbadmk8 and JS well said. I have are Stage 1 heads and a 218/223 560/560 114 lsa lunati cam with a 3500 vig and all the other bolt ons LT's, Catback, etc etc etc. The only thing I don't have is an underdrive pulley. (Have not gotton to that yet). The point is my car dynoed at 355rwhp and 383 tq through an unlocked convertor. ARE stage 1 heads are similar to Cartek stage 2 and even though the dyno number seemed low I am not worried about it. I have yet to take the car to the track, but what I do know is the car pulls like a mother and is a whole lot faster then it was stock. That's for sure. I know I will never hit 10's and I don't want to hit 10's. I plan on keeping my car for a very long time and the car is full weight probably 3700+ lbs, and you know what that doesn't bother me either. Like somebody said there are guys on here that just want fast street cars and not all out gutted race cars that are borderline trailer queens. My car is still fast and it is gorgeous to boot and that is how I want it. If I want a 10 second drag car
I would go buy something else and gut it. No offense to anybody elses car on here. I enjoy what I have and I have learned a lot on this board. There are certain people that irritate me by chiming in on every post claiming to be an expert when their goals are cleary not the same as mine. No flames intended just a reality check.

I wouldnt call Carteks shop small. Its 6000 square feet and seems to get teh job done. Also holds a huge above the ground dyno.
I cant wait to see how the new shop with 25,000 square feet will look like <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

PS when I ran 11.16 I weighed 3400# (had ac). When I ran 10.98 I had shaved that down to 3300# (no ac, new carpet, no muffler, pass side airbag). The only changes between those runs was my weight. My goal is to get down to 3200# and still be able to drive the car to the track.

terry THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THE A4 DYNOS THE SAME AS A M6... period... you dont want to get proof... cause there is no proof... funny thing is... with my full weight street car... all i gotta do is jet in a 100 shot and i can beat your track times... with the A/C blowing cold all the way down the track...

Yes you can drive it on the street, but you surely wouldn't wan't to take along any passengers. Gutting a car is one thing but to remove safety systems clearly puts you in another league boardering on trailer queen. Not to say that all fast street cars have air bags but why would you want to remove something that was installed from the factory to protect the lives of your passengers?

I just love being able to say that my car went 11.56 naturally-aspirated with no internal-engine mods and on the completely bone-stock drivetrain, regardless of how you qualify it! Some people buy more things to make their car fast, I like to make mine as fast as possible before I add more...which means weight reduction.

I'm going to go out on a limb, ( a short one), and just assume that Terry was just trying to get a rise out of folks by making that blatantly false statement. Just to set the record straight.... that whole reiteration above, is just blatantly wrong. I dont want anyone to be taken into such an erroneously false statement.
No offense to anyone.
