Yeah, those #'s are just OK for that setup. You should be putting down over 400 with a locked convertor and computer tuning.
Get a pulley and LS6 intake if you don't have it already.

Dude, calm down. No one's knocking your car or Cartek. I will say that being in the 11's certainly does not make a heads/cam car a monster. Too many variables. There are many, many LS1's with completely stock internal engines in the 11's. I happen to be one of them. WHERE in the 11's is the question. 2002 LS1's do indeed come with the "LS6 intake." Out of curiosity, why do you not believe in underdrive pullies? I assure you they exist, as I have them on my car.

a 11 second street car "is" a monster... not too many around... yes there is faster better etc.. anyway... i dont like u/d pulley because they reduce.. Ps, and alt output... and i hate electrical problems... i used to have underdrive pulleys on my cobra... never again

First of all, nice numbers! It sounds like you have a strong running car!

Just wanted to raise a couple of quick points:

I added a pulley to my car not to long ago and it's not the same as the old Mustang pulleys.

No charging problems and I drive my car every day with the A/C on in 90 degree Houston traffic. For the money it's a pretty good mod.

I'd also recommend some computer tuning to optimize your setup. You'd be surprised at the additional gains you can see!

Oh, okay, so you mean a monster as in compared to Mustangs and all other street cars, all right. I naturally thought you would be comparing yours to other LS1's with heads/cam, and since I still don't know WHERE in the 11's yours is, I can't say for sure whether it's a monster or not. I'll say that an 11-second heads/cam LS1 is *not* necessarily a monster. Neither is one that puts down 390 RWHP through a locked converter necessarily a monster.

I'm not knocking Cartek's work in the least. And I'm not disclaiming that just because they're a sponsor, as the practice of some others may be. I know for a fact that they do great work, sell great products, and have great customer relations.

I'd figger about another 10 horses or so in addition to the 390 if your car were a 6-speed. The MAF and TB will raise the # for sure. I'd say 400 RWHP would be easily attainable. Let's hope so. Again, I'd like to emphasize the word "necessarily" in my previous statements. Peak horsepower numbers, in all actuality, don't mean a whole lot in drag racing. What is your goal w/ the car? I.E. Why did you get the heads/cam? To pull down better ET's/MPH's at the track? To whoop up on more street-racers? Or what? My suggestion, as always, is to get the thing to the track. Good luck.

No, of course not, Vince. But how do you know his setup is fine? Which crowd should he ignore? The one that says his numbers and setup are fine or the one that says they're a little low? My response would be neither. I think track numbers are the real test. And if that's not feasible at the moment, let's see the graph.

Rage we can speculate all day.. If his car was tuned with ls1edit or whoever and he is running the "H" cam which is a mild cam then his #'s look ok.. Track times will depend on weight/gears/stall etc.. If he is happy then let him be happy. This was not a flame against Cartek..
