Vince,

Compression makes a BIG difference. Lots of guys running 5.3L and LS6 heads are making more power than LS1 heads even though the flow numbers are comparable (when ported)...why? Because the cc chamber size of the 5.3L and LS6 heads bump up the compression so much. There's at least 20 rwhp difference between a 10.1-1 motor and an 11.0-1 motor. Some guys are running 12.0+ compression. Don't be fooled into thinking it's airflow alone.

Patrick

Patrick I am running 5.3L heads. My compression alone should have gave me 12rwhp. I would have to make another post asking who is running 5.3's or LS6 heads. I am sure some of these guys are running LS1 and are dyno'ing 420rwhp plus..

Hey Vince, my numbers were through the stock rear with 4.10's im sure if I would have had 3.42's it would have been well in the low to maybe mid 420 RWHP range and maybe a bit more TQ as well and with no cut out just the 4" Mufflex and a HPP3. I dynoed at the same place as Bill00Formula. I will be going back soon to see how much the 12 bolt and 4.30's sucked out of it . And hopefully do some tunning at the same time P.S. Im coming for you in October

Vince, I know he is not on the board here but I have a friend that dynoed 419.3RWHP and I believe 383.7 RWTQ he has ARE heads w/ the big 2.08 valves and a big cam not sure of the specs but its lift is in the 570 range and @ 50 is around 227-230 I belive, It was through a SLP loud mouth and Mac headers the dyno place didnt take his car over 6400 and it was still making power all three pulls and he has heavy Enkei V1's 18x10's on the rear and 4.10's as well His car dynoed 314 at the rear with just a lid and borla exhaust prior to the H/C package its a 01 T/A thats like 105 RWHP gain which is great and through unmolseted mac headers

Best my car ever pulled was 440/420 with open headers. No idea with exhaust, becuase at the time, I just never ran any.

GTP S2 5.3 heads, 226/236 .510 .510 114 cam, FLP's, LS6 intake, ported TB, lid, etc.

Stock FW, Z06 clutch, Stock DS, stock 3.42 rear, and 17x9.5 ZR1 rims with 555R's on it.

I'm sure with my B&B, it would have been over 400 with ease.
