TREX low #'s. Not Happy....
Check out my sig for all my mods to date. I've heard a ton of good things about the Trex cam and now I've got one and I can't seem to get the numbers that everyone else has. Cam only tune was 375rwhp and about 365rwtq. Cam and heads was 402rwhp and about 380rwtq. Short block has new bearings, balanced rotating assembly with diamond forged pistons and it's almost newly done(about 1,000 miles) so i don't think it can be anything crazy in the bottom end. I only have the LS1 intake right now but even then i should see much better numbers. I don't know what else to do.
Anyone got any ideas on what's going on? too conservative of a tune?

I tuned a cam-only LS1 with a T-Rex to 450 rwhp and 405 rwtq (of course, it had HVMC headers, FAST 90, and all the best bolt-ons). Cam-only, you should be higher than you are now. With ported heads, you should be even higher than that. Can you show us the graph? It would be interesting to see where you make peak power and torque and how your tq looks at 3000 rpm. Cam could be in at wrong centerline.

I'll see if I can find the dyno sheet. I cleaned out my garage over the winter but i might have it somewhere.

Hey your biggest problem is that fing ls1 intake. Swap it out for a ls6 intake. I bet you see over 30rwhp jump. That big cam likes to move air and the ls1 intake restricts it like CRAZY. Also whats your compression?

I'm gonna get a new intake in the near future. Compression ratio should be close to stock if not a lil lower with the -2cc valve reliefs. As far as actual cylinder compression i haven't checked it since before i put new pistons in it.
