Default Guys w/ 400rwhp+...minus heads......

Is 400rwhp or more possible w/ FLP's, cam(224,227,229,230),FTRA, true dual exhuast, pulley, 85mm MAF,LS6 intake, NGK plugs/wires,lid Dyno tuning, etc. ALL THE MODS. will this come to over 400rwhp? On top of that i will spray 150 wet shot. Can i use 42lb injectors with this setup (stroker motor in the future)? thnx for the help!

Hell, Jason got 410rwhp with the TR230 cam. And he had something like 4.56 gears? So long as you use no smaller than a 224 cam and get some GOOD tuning i'd say you have a decent shot.

Unless youre running over 600-700 you will never need 42lbs an hour injectors.

ok, but they are the same price as the 37# and the 38# so i figure, why not? i will eventually have a stroker with a 150 shot so i want to be safe. Anyone else?

I understand that, but I have seen in person over 9 enines running over 500 RWHP without the need for anything that large... 36 should be overkill.

I did it with a Y-pipe (no duals), no tuning, 17X11 wheels out back, steel flywheel and stock driveshaft with a little 221 cam almost two years ago. Who knows what I could have done with one of the faster ramp cams, duals and tuning

We had a ’01 SS hit 388rwhp with just a 224/224//.563/.563//114 comp cam (stock heads). He had tuning, but he had only a mid length header, and didn’t have some of the bolt ons (stock MAF, stock TB, stock pulleys,) I think if he went with all the bolt-ons he would have hit 400 easy. P&P TB, MAF, and underdrive pulleys should be good for 12rwhp on a cammed car, right? His car had stock gears.

Currently i've got lid, descreened LS6 MAF, FTRA, MAFT, ASP, loudmouth, SLP Y, and a T1 cam on an '01 LS1. Put down 367 thru stock manifolds and cats, to the wheels running thru stock 10 bolt, 3.42 gears. I think when I add longtubes soon, with a Shaner S2, and some LS1Edit tuning, about 400 rwhp (~30hp increase with those additional mods) should be a reasonable expectation.
