Default More Raging230 results

It was an an automatic car but it blew away alot of M6 cars with stock heads.

List of mods on this 99WS6 were:
Dynatech headers
true dual exhaust with bullets (no x or h pipe yet)
ASP pulley
SLP lid
SLP bellows
4.10 gears
Vig. 3200
Raging 230/230 cam
LS6 intake
Ls1edit tuning

Results were 372rhwp with convertor unlocked and some previous tuning. Locked the convertor up with Ls1edit it went to 380rwhp. Played with the LS1edit for a few more runs and bumped it up to the final numbers of 383rwhp/400rwtq(at 3300rpm).

Only problem was that it wanted to peak rather high around 6800rpm? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense since all the other cars with this cam all peak around 6450rpm? No track times yet but I think it'll freaking fly when he does get it to the track after not running it over a year.

Nice numbers Mark! Was the cam "peaking" at 6800 unlocked? If so, it is nothing to worry about. You cannot look at the rpms too closely with it unlocked.

Jason is right, the RPM will always be off when the converter is unlocked.

Yeah, your probably right. Even when it was unlocked it peaked the same. The rev limiter was set at 6800rpm and the gauges showed we shut it down at 6800rpm but the graph would show 7200rpm. I'm sure it peaked about the same as the others though around 6450rpm then. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Very nice. About 6400 rpm peak would be perfect for me.

How is the drivability with the A4, really? What does it idle at, any ses lights, surging or any other problems?

again to say i am extremely happy with my setup.as far as driveability goes i have no problems with it at all it idles around 850 rpms all day long.i don't have any ses lights and it really donesn't surge very much at all.there is a little surging in there but then again it is an auto with a 230 592lift cam.Props again to Raging Motorsports.now its time for the h-pipe and the electric waterpump.

There are no SES lights at all. Idles at 850rpm and doesn't surge. Drivability didn't seem any different than the Hammer cam we replaced it with. the car drives awesome with the but only because he has a 3200 convertor and 4.10's, seems to make up for any loss in power down low. If he had stock gearing and stock convertor, I'm sure it wouldn't be as fun to drive. This cam was definitely right down his alley, perfect for his car.
