The stock plugs SUCK. I pulled mine at 14K and they looked horrible. Anything over 10K and go ahead and throw some fresh NGK's in there. I recommend NGK TR6's gapped at .045 for a bolt on car.

If your going to be putting on headers, do it then. If not I would do it as soon as is reasonable. My stock platinum plugs sucked!

I need to do my plugs & wires SO bad. I am at 37K miles on stock plugs. I'm a little nervous about doing them myself since I've never done it before. I'm getting much more comfortable under the hood with LS1's though.

Anyone know of any sites with instructions for us dummies? I'm sure it's easy, but it's always nice having directions to fall back on.

ASAP if not sooner, them stock plugs are generally all a different gap and start dropping tips as early as 3K.
Delco RF #8`s and never look back.

Hold on a sec. Just today I pulled one of my NGK TR55 plugs today and it looked OK to me (what should I be looking for?). I have 20K on these plugs.

The sooner the better. Changed mine at 11k no two were gapped the same from the factory. Car ran better with TR55's gapped at 55 than with factory platinum NGK's gapped at ~56 to 64

35th SS showed me how to change my stock plugs at around 32,000 mi
I don't know diddly about plugs but they didn't look too bad to me. But I sure felt better putting in TR55 NGKs and MSD plug wires
Try and find a fellow f-body member and see if they can help you. I videotaped it so I wouldn't forget
Thanks Rex!!
