Default Misfires cam related?? car sputters really bad

ok guys, i went out to atap and while i was atapping something weird happened. The car just felt like it lost power. Anyway I got SES lights from misfires.

#4 is showing like 80 misfires
#6 is showing like 30 misfires under current

what gives??? I switched the plug on 4 and swapped the wires up on 2, 4, 6 and still its showing 80 in #4

the car sputters under throttle and i can tell something isnt right

any ideas????

Possible valve spring problem....

My car idled very badly when my 941 went south. Tons of misfires and an SES light....

I wouldn't drive the car much at all. How is it at idle?

Its hard to explain, but its obivious something is wrong. I can bascially only idle in and out the of the garage. Any gas and the car just sputters

so i guess i need to pull the valve cover on that side?? I thought these 918's were tuff

but whatever it is, im reading hellacious misfires on 4 and some on 6

Bad coil over plugs sometimes crack and lose voltage causing the symtoms you are experiencing.

Pull the valve covers off and just check the springs. I had a the same problem, but overlooked the valve spring at first because I didnt here any noise. After plugs, wires etc.. it turned out that the valve spring was broke at the very top.

Just an easy check you might want to try.

yeah i found the prob. See my 918 break post..

after i switched the wires and plugs and the prob was still there i took off the valve cover. Sure enough #4 was cracked in 2 spots!!!
