Default T1 CAM- Anyone with info

Hey guys,
Going with a cam and leaning toward the T1. Please answer these questions for a '99 T/A M6 application.

1. Lope?
2. Driveability (bucking, surging, interior vibration?)
3. What RPM is the HP peak?
4. How hard is this cam on valve train?

Looking for someting streetable to keep stock rev limit and make 375 RWHP with lid, catback, LT's, and custom programming. What do you think?

Thanks,
-Nick

Interior noise is loud if you have an ORY and borla. It surges as well at low speeds. I put down 390 with all the basic bolt ones when it was in my car.

Please explain why you preferred the 221 vs your 226 XE-R cam. I'm really interested as to why?

My XE-R cam has no lope whatsoever.. Do not get me wrong.. Its a awesome stealth cam. My stock cam had more of a aggressive idle. You would only think I had headers on the car.. My heads and exhaust could be the main factor in my below 4krpm power loss between the 2 cams, but I was expecting the XE-R's faster ramps to make up for that.. The T1 was just a good all around cam.. It had a nasty little lope. It ran thru the gears like I had 4.10's back when I had 3.42's. It made awesome tq.. I am going to long tubes and a better catback system to see if that helps with my new h/c setup.. I am hoping this new setup just needs to breathe more. Now this XE-R cam has to be awesome in its own regards to get the horsepower #'s I have out of my weak heads.. I am changing to a reverse split soon.. So we will see if I can finally get the 420rwhp I was looking for in the first place.. I sure hope so with going to long tubes and changing my complete exhaust..

I have the b1 in my m6...its got a bit of lope..if you don't know its there you might miss it at least with just my catback right now. Will see if its more noticeable when I finish installing my tts this week and get my electric cutout on.Power seems excellent even without headers from 3000 up its a screamer and pulls all the way to the current 6600 hpp set redline.I drilled my tb out a bit too much I think..iac counts hit zero..my idle takes a bit to come down especially with air on.It doesnt stall though.I might just put a rivet in the tb hole and drill slightly smaller or try to tweak iac count with my reversed tb idle screw..or wait for ls1 edit to make things perfect.I sometimes wish I would have got a t1 as its more nasty sounding and would have a similar powerband.I think the ls1 top end and mid is great but the bottom end sucks bad compared to my old lt1 with 4.10 gears.I am hoping my tts will help bottom end and plan on 3.73s when I get a new 12 bolt hopefully next year and if I still don't have the bottom I want then guess its time for 383 stroker kit.and NOS and a supercharger..where will it end..who knows..LOL

...................................

This never happened to me, even with stock heads and stock tuning.

Idle was not nearly lopey enough for me.

Very nice cam, very driveable, good mileage, great performance, zero problems. The dyno numbers in my sig were on the T1. No numbers yet on my new TR230/224.

My T1 cam will be for sale in about 6 weeks or so. MTI is building me a 408 motor so I have get a bigger cam for it.

Send me an email at tuanle@bmc.com if you are interested in the cam. I would like to get $300 shipped for it.

I think the T1 is a great all around cam I have a buddy that is running that cam as well but he has stock heads and 3.73 and is hitting mid 118's in the 1/4
I went with the T1 because my car is a daily and I was only wanting to run in 11.8s and my car is running the times I wanted. And the set up is almost 3yrs old and still pulling harder then ever plus I only have the HPP3 for tunning
