FWIW, I have TR230, GTP 5.3L heads milled .015, 7.4 pushrods. No piston/valve clearence issues.

How much diffrence are the 5.3 than the 5.7s as far ad milling?.015 on 5.3s would not be the same as .015 on 5.7s?

You cant really compare the 5.3 to the 5.7's in this case.

depending on cc, and valves etc.

I wished i had an answer for you as im looking into this myself. short of checking the actual piston to valve clearence i have im SOL.

but you can not go by what guys are saying unless they have the exact setup you have with the same head.

but my original question still stands. can imill .030 off of 5.7s and still be ok with the 230 cam??
