Default 02 Z06 dyno #'s air box+maft=376hp/367tq

Just got my 02 dynoed today. With mods in the sig it made 376.3hp and 367.7lb's of torque. So what next guys? I need to keep its great driving manners so i was thinking the "old man cam" and some headers and gears-would like to hit 400 rwhp WITHOUT touching the heads.

With an 02 Z06, you can get 400 rwhp without touching the motor period...

A buddy of mine has an 02 running TPIS Longtubes, Haltec, ASP pulley, programming, and an aluminum flywheel. Car made 396/380 with a cold nitrous plug....

Good numbers with your mods. Try the Shaner as mentioned. Some like it, some don't.

Gears and headers will wake-up your ZO6 without opening the motor. If you have a Auto Trans, consider a quality converter.

No need for a 'old man' cam just yet. There's a ton of bolt-on mods you can do and stil keep it's great driving manners.

Enjoy your cars.

As stated, no need to crack open the engine for 400.. If cost is an issue look into pulley, TB, or Xpipe. The next big help is lts for sure, that is what I would do but kinda pricey .

I saw a black one of these at the track the other day. The sucker ran a 12.7 1/4 mile. I think he was babying it cause it was a 02 ZO6. I know they can do better!!

That is one wicked race car legal for the street you have there Vortech.

Without gears and with all the other bolt-ons and programming, you should have a low 11 second car

Thanks for the tips guys. BlakCam 11.656 is no typo, my car has over 150 1/4 passes on it. I was very reluctant to get on a dyno-I live on the strip. I went to the dyno to settle a bet-but now I'm hooked. For any mod i'll do I'll be sure to go to a dyno to test. Money is not an issue I'm pretty sure I can get 380 with LS1 edit and i have a few tricks that I'm going to try that should allow me to hit 390. I want to keep the car as dealer friendly as possible-but as soon as the hoist goes in at my garage then I don't care.

I saw his car make multiple passes in the 11's, it is definitely legit
It is going to be sick when he gets the next round of mods.

Hi Vortech. As for mods, the Z06 doesn't seem to benefit greatly from headers like many other LS1 motors. There isn't enough overlap for the scavenging effect of the headers to do their job. I have driven 3guns car twice. It has 390 RWHP (corrected) I think it is probably capable of 11.3s on a good day.

Here are a list of his mods.

Mods: Vararam ,T.P.I.S. long tube headers,Random Technology high flow cats with X pipe, B&B prt's, ported throttle body, coolant bypass,Breathless shifter and carbon fiber airbridge, cags defeat,
Valentine V1,LS6edit G Tech Pro,12"CCW's with BFG 315 drag radials
393.0 rwhp/400.0 rwtq(dyno at Fest)

He lacks the big injectors that you have, but as you can see, he is close to 400RWHP now. As for me, I am still 100% bone stock, but I am plaaning on trying to better my mark as the cold air move into Texas.

Those are sweet#'s J-Rod, I think I'm going to get that cam Patrick G runs-the old man cam and then maybe headers. I just want to see how much power I can make through the manifolds. I'm just afraid that if I get headers and I have some issue with like tranny breakage that the dealership will shy away from me.
