Ive got a 98 ss camaro motor, MAC headers, SLP MAF, ported TB, ls6 intake, 200 shot nitrous, asp underdrive pulley, ls1 edit software (this is swapped into a 2700lb full weight 91 corvette)
What kind of horsepower gains would i be looking at with a 02' Z06 cam over the stock cam? I really dont have the $400 to throw down on a TR230 cam, but i can get this one for $100.

It going to cost more than $100. The Z06 cam has a smaller base circle. So you will need pushrods.
Also on the Z06 has springs that are stronger than a stock LS1.
The Z06 valves are also longer than the stock LS1 valves.
So, you have almost as much cost as putting in an aftermarket cam getting your springs and such squared away.

Actually the difference in the base circle is only .7MM, which equates out to .35MM in radius, which is what matters. Thats appx. .15" (on the high side). The stock pushrod length is 7.395. So technically to get the geometry back exactly where it was, you would need pushrods 7.545" in length. Ive been told by many tuners that have installed this cam that the difference in the base circle can be made up by the lifter itself. You should replace your pushrods anyway, and most aftermarket pushrods are 7.40" You can go ahead and order them longer, or just let the lifter soak up the difference. I'll post my dyno results as soon as I get it done. Im going to use the 7.40" pushrods I already have from my other car.

How much should I gain with a '01 LS6 cam over a stock LS1 cam? I will have Mac Headers, Ypipe (gutted cats), Hooker Catback, S2 TB, Lid, and possibly an LS6 Intake. Will I need different pushrods w/ the '01 LS6 cam?

More importantly the hp curve will stay nearly flat from 5800 to 6300 rpms, compared to the stock hp curve tapering down after 5400 rpms.
Stock LS1 pushrods work fine with 01 cam.
Hope this helps.
