Default Help me match the baddest azz cam to be used with my stage II MTI LS6 Heads.

Due to unforseen circumstances, my stroker project may be on hold for a year or two, so i have decided to upgrade my heads and cam package to the baddest azz set up that $ can buy. I have a 98 C5 A4 with FLP Tranny and running the aggressive Yank PT 4000 stall with 3.73 Getrags.

I have decided to use MTIs Stage II LS6 Heads. Right know i am leaning towards going with MTI's radical x1 cam with specs of 230/227, .591 lift on a 112 lope.

Given my stall converter and my mods listed below, is their another cam that you believe will get me closer to that highly coveted 10 second time slip. One issue is tha i do not want to have to fly cut the pistons and a huge cam like the x1 is about as big as i can go with flycutting pistons. Any suggestions about any other cam that you believe will out perform the x1 in the 1/4 mile to be used with my MTI stage II LS6 heads.

THanks for all input.

MTI 427 C5 Roadster, soon to be MTI 500HP C5 Roadster.

i hear the TR230/224 is pretty bad ***, but the x-1 will probably still be better.
