I'm about to buy one. About $1250 for 5 years/100,000 (total mileage)......
Pretty much covers everything....you are good to go even with aftermarket parts, as long as you have an ASE certified buddy
Anyone here have good/bad experiences?

I've got the 5yr/100K with them. Still running a stock engine @ 61K miles ,though. Only used it once for some AC repairs. Once it was approved via telephone (very quickly) and the repairs done, they promptly paid the shop with a credit card.
I understand that with major repairs they reserve the right to send a rep to inspect the damage.
Also, they suggest keeping all your oil change and/or oil purchase receipts.

At about 59,000 my car spun a bearing. They sent the inspector down he just looked at the motor said it looked clean and gave the ok. Only problem I had was how they rebuilt my bottom end. They only replaced the one rod and who knows what else they said they did but they didnt. One year later I spun the same bearing so It just goes to show you. It is nice though getting your car fixed for nothing.

I guess they use an independent company to verify damages (if need be) and to give the final OK regarding repairs. I guess they switched companies about a year ago since they had some complaints, and since then people seem to be getting flawless service.

I have a buddy who is a GM service writer, he deals with this stuff everyday. There are alot of bad companies out there selling extended warrantys, they smile when they take your money, but are not around when you need them. One company would not pay for a new tranny case that was needed, just the internal soft parts, another would not pay for new tranny fluid, so they said "fine, we will just poor the old **** back in." then they paid. He says the only one that is good is the one offered by GM. Good luck. Dyno

If you have a performance shop or mechanic (either must be ASC certified) who is very friendly to you, then you should be good to go. Just don't bring the car in with the nitrous on. I have a shop that will hook me up. So my motor will be warrantied even with heads and cam....
Like I said, make sure you find a shop that will hook you up.

I have dealt with Warranty Gold for a long time, many years. They are with out a doubt the easiest company to deal with and I have seen 20-30 others. As far as inspectors go, there is usually 2-3 guys in a given area that most all extended warranty companies use. One guy here local does our Ford ESP, Warranty Gold and First Extended. Once you make good friends with them(which I consider a must) you would be amazed at how easy they make my job. Warranty Gold is damn good and I highly recommend them.

FWIW, I'll give the company another vote. So far, they have been great and I've got over 4K in repair work already. Hopefully, this level of service will continue.

I finally bit and bought it last nite. Did some bargaining and got another 50 bucks taken off the policy price and a free year off warranty added....so I ended up with a 6 year 100,000 mile warranty at no extra cost.
I can't imagine this won't come in handy. Every Chevy in my family has needed motor mounts at 40,000 miles. This warranty actually covers motor mounts and the labor involved!! Normal Chevy warranty won't. Thats $400 savings right there.
