I have read were peaple are putting 2.05 intake valves in stock seats.Is this true? Is it possable to do this with out changeing the seats. I already have the valves!!!

No, the 5.3s can go up to a 2.02. Any bigger you have to do the seats.

No,But the machine shops a round here were i live will charge double for new seats and the cheepest thay can buy, like China or some thing like that.I do not care to spend money on my car but I wont to get what I pay for.Like a good parts made in the old USA.I keep up with every part i buy even the little old seats. I have to much money in my car to put junk in it I've got about $16,000 in bolt on .Parts are HIGH for the LS1s <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I don't know how far you are from Bowling Green, but we have the seats. A word of caution, don't put 2.05 valves in a 5.3 on a stock block. At least get our CNC program on the chamber to deshroud the valves, and I would go 2.02. Good luck.

how much do you charge to put 2.02 vales in a set of 5.3 heads and what brand valves do you have. Would you trade a set of 2.02's for a set of Farra 2.055's and install a set of Manley 1.57 exhaust valves and shave them 0.030. I live in Harland county, SouthEastern Kentucky. On the Verginia border.I can send them UPS.These heads are going on a 2000 WS6 TransAm 5.7 What is dangeress a bout puttig 2.055 on a stock 5.7 block? <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

These heads are not stock thay have a stage two port job and polished chambers and the only thing stock is the bottom end. I have TR 224-224/563-561/112 cam shaft 918 comp springs comp harden push rods,LS6 intakeport matched to heads, ported thrawtal body and mass air headers dynomouth 3"Y and pipes,EFI-V5Live(Auto tap) and a lot more in sig. Nothing is wrong with putting 2.055 valves in a stock 5.7 thats the size we use on our stage 2 heads. The problem is the 5.3 heads chamber is very small and the valves need to be unshouded.
