Raise the compression slightly when installed on a 98-99 Stock,Bolt ons only SS. ??? and if so how much? Thanks.

Yes, to about 10.5:1 I think.

I had heard the 10.8 previously as well.. I'm thinking that the 02 heads have a slightly larger chamber. That's too bad for folks wanting to bump their compression... It makes it even harder to justify them over the 5.3/5.7 heads.

They have a smaller chamber than LS1 about5 or 6cc ups compression about .5

I've also read and heard its 10.8

The only difference with 02' LS6 heads were the valves. 02' Heads are identical to 01' heads.

Thanks Gentlemen, .5 sounds ok, was hoping for a bit more, I would prefer 10.8 to 11.
Are there any availabe gaskets that could help me get to 11. ? as I dont plan to get any work done on them at this time as I am not sure how Mild or Wild yet. (considering using TR 227/224 114 and stock ls6 heads)for now.Im trying to stay mild enough for Isky springs stability without going to Rev duals yet. any thoughts welcome.
