Well got the car tuner today. The car has the following mods, a lid, grots and a true dual. Thats it, and the cam of course. The A/F was right around 12.6-12.8. We think a coil pack is bad by looking at misfire numbers. On cylinder #5 it has about 20x the number of misfires. The final numbers were 368 @ 6300rpm and 359 @ 4500rpm or so.

Hehehe, oh it lopes alright. Had the idle set at 875 but it got rid of the lope slightly so I dropped it back down to 800rpm. Awesome lope, I get compliments quite often from guys who were into the scene back in the 60's and 70s...

Josh, the A/F kind of bounces back and forth between 12.6-12.8, which is a little rich I know but it's where I wanted it. How many degrees of timing should be seen? If I see you on I'll IM you...

This cam is shifted at about 6,600?
Seems to be a good cam & Im sure it sounds mean.
Stock rr's?
What type of springs can you run (ls6 springs by chance?), what type of retainers?
thanks,
Corey
would it be cheaper to get a 700 dollar cam kit from thunder with springs & gaskets (230/224 111 LSA)? or go with this cam (asa) and by extras separately?

It defenitly is the ASA cam. Right now the fuel cutoff is at 6500 and peak power at 6300. It does make great power under the curve. If I didn't leave my dyno sheet in my pants and then wash it then I'd scan it and put it up. I'm using 941 springs right now but am thinking about changing to 02 ls6 springs. The LS6 springs can handle it no problem, thats what the ASA cars were running. I am using stock rr's. Contrary to popular belief, people male comments that the car can't idle worth a ****. Lets just say this is completely wrong. When it's cold it jumps around a little bit but never stalls. Once the car warms up it idles like a kitten according to the tach, outside it just sounds a little different <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I'm not sure how much the cam costs from GM. I bought it used here off the board. There have been many times where I'm in 4th gear going 10mph, which is about 900-1000 rpm and the car pulls away smooth as can be. I regularly am going down the highway in 6th at 1500rpm....
