Default cam doesn't fit after new cam bearings installed

I tried installing my new hot cam today and it wouldn't even fit through the first bearing ??? I tried my old cam just to see and it doesn't fit either. I had new bearings installed at my local speed shop.... What gives???

The cam bearings are installed from the front, with the exception of the front bearing which has to be done from the back. Your shop either botched the job or installed the wrong bearings would be my guess.

I gave him my helms manual for the install. I am hoping he installed them right, but obviously something is wrong. They have no Teflon that I can see now. He purchased and installed them so I don't know how they came. I did see two different part numbers on the old ones( he gave me all my old parts back) I hope he caught this as well.

Im not sure how the guys that put your bearrings in but when I installed mine I noticed that the replacement cam bearings I installed all had different part numbers on them. I dont know if they were different sizes but my cam wouldnt go in when we got two of them in the wrong place.

If you have to give your machinist your manual...you have chosen poorly.

Best of luck man. Id be taking it back and have a cam in hand. He can try himself. Then fix it and call you when its living nicely inside your motor.

Im pretty sure there is an order that they go in. The very back I think has to be small than the front so you cant get them in if I remember right and than the second is a little bigger and so on.
