maybe u guys dont have a good tuner cause when i was done it drove like stock.. this cam is sick with a decent amount of duration and under .600 lift.

Umm...actually, the times I feel any surging are few and far between. You can tune 95% of it out - even on a 112. I very often find my self cruising around the neighborhood in the 1200~1400rpm range. Although I do have 3.73's, they're not much different than the stock 3.42's. The trick is in the timing and airflow tables.

So, if one was going to switch heads, the TV2 could produce more power than the TR224..

Which one of these cams is better for a street only car?

My car will most likely NEVER hit the track.. I want to be able to keep the power where it would be best used on the streets..

I've got a Vig 2800 - which every says in a 3200.. I may pull it and restall it later..

Anyone?

Haha..

Yeh, see..

My mods are Vig 2800, Hooker Lt's, GMMG, lid, ported/polished tb and the freebies..

What made you go with the T2 over the 224? I just love the way the 224's sound.. They sound the best as me..

But does the T2 give up any torque to the 224?

Seems like everyone likes the T2!
I was looking into MTI's X1 cam and was pretty dead set on it, but this T2 cam seems to be popping up a lot lately and sounds pretty sweet. I might need to do some more research

I enjoy my TR224. For MY car, with MY intentions, I believe it was perfect for ME.

melchoir-

See.. that is what I am trying to find..

I want a KILLER street setup..

I don't give one iota about track times, etc.. I'll never hit the track.. Just not my gig..

I like the T2 for the great power it makes from 3.5-6.5k.... But my motor doesn't see that rpm everyday, more like idle-5k & for that reason I will be going down to a 224/228 xer cam... If the car wasn't a dd I might keep the T2, but it doesn't have enough ***** down low for me, especially when short shifting around town.

My question to you guys is would it be worth the bigger cam to pull my cam and put the Torquer in and then give him my cam? Would the power difference be noticeable? Ive already got hardened pushrods and PRC springs. Ive got a new LS2 timing chain from when I did my cam a couple months ago, so it should just be a straight up swap that COULD be done in a day or two's work.

Let me know if this swap would be worth it to you guys.
IT would be worth it for him, the tr224 is the better cam

I daily drive mine and love it. You can check my dyno graph for power.
Keep in mind it's with an unlocked stall though.
For a daily driver I don't think I'd want anything else personally.

Something is wrong here with your HP numbers. They are really low. The old setup I had with a 3:73 rearend gear, 4000 stall, and a 220/220 Comp cam (stock heads) made 360/370 ... UNLOCKED ... through a 12-bolt. Why do you have such low HP? Was it dyno'd on a Mustang dyno?
