Just wondering if this would even be worth the trouble and money to do it? Is there a better stock GM part # cam than an 03 ZO6? Also dose anyone think this combo could make 400 at the wheels with an auto and stock 3.23?

400? no way man not with a ls6 cam and only ported 241 heads .

if the heads milld maybe u will reach higher 360 or so.

i have friend of mine he have a gto 04 with ls6 cam kit but without ported heads

and he put 330 hp on the dyno after the tuning,the baseline was 304 HP .

so you can imagine how much HP you can gain with a ported 241 and even milld
i think more 25 or 30 HP .

I see, just to give you an idea my last Camaro (98 6sp) I put in an 03 Z06 cam with Lt and LS6 intake and that car made 365 to the wheels.

You would also need ported 243 ls6 heads and 1.85 rockers, might get you there

Depends on how much money you have and how much work you're willing to do. Some would consider a 45 hp gain worth it, some wouldn't.

Well it is more for the sneeky "stock motor thing" and I know with this cam it will idle just like stock and have good power.

I only done 386 and Im a 6 speed car with MTI tuning at that time. And that was with 243 heads. No way.

Ok how fast did the car go with this set up in it?

With the cam only and stock 241 LS1 heads it went 11.91 on drag radials and 3.73 gears. With full bolt ons and no weight reduction.
