Moore Performance valve spring tool!Anyone use it? I'm going to order a valve spring tool soon to swap out the old 918 springs for some new 918s and came across the Moore Performance tool and wanted to know if it is any better than the standard clamp spring compressor? It looks nice to me and looks like it would be alot easier but i have not tried one and did not want to order it and find out that it was not what i exspected? Let me know what you think!
Re: Moore Performance valve spring tool!Anyone use it? My experience was horrible with it. It was made of a **** poor tooling aluminum and didn't work as advertised. Search w/in the past two weeks on the internal section for the tool I use and it works the best of all. It only cost $15 too!

I'm actually thinking of making one like that myself out of steel. But in reality I think all you need to do is cut the end off a standard lever-action tool as mentioned above by cannibal. You just tighten down a bolt on it to compress the spring.

Re: Moore Performance valve spring tool!Anyone use it? We've been using at our shop for quite awhile now but only on changing from stock to the 918's. Not sure how it would work on the double spring or spring with a higher rate. So far we had no problems with it and it cut time by about half an hour or maybe more once we use it more often.

Scott, put in a BIG cam while your at it.
If the money is right a set of TEA or Absolute heads will go on as well with a LS6 intake.
