Request for TR224/114 sound clip....
I'd do a search for one but for some reason when I type the word "sound" in the search field, the computer starts pouring smoke out the back of the CPU and all the street lights in my neighborhood start flickering on and off. It's quite scary.
So I'll just ask for one here.
Looking for a sound clip of a TR224/114 with true duels.
Thanks for whatever you can throw me.

Here ya go. It's a cold start but I let it warm up and give it a couple revs in there too.
The car has stock manifolds, cats, SLP Y, and a flowmaster catback.

BTW: It's still on a stock tune right now.

Yeah, I checked LS1Sounds before posting this....I couldn't find one on there.
Marz...yours is a 112, I was looking for 114 clips. But thanks for the videos, your car sounds mean as hell.
z28ss4me...thanks for the clip, it sounds real good. I imagine with my application it will sound a bit more lopey and loud because I'm running Hooker long tube headers, no cats, and 3" exhaust. Would you concur?
Basically here's the deal....I just purchased a TR224/114 from a member over at Pro-Touring.com. I know that it's not a radical cam but I don't want the car to have a mild or stock sound to it. I'm hoping with that cam plus my exhaust system I'll have something close to what Marz's car sounds like.
What do you guys think? And again...thanks for your input. It's greatly appreciated.

Well I can tell you I absolutely love mine. Thru my Pacesetter LT's, TSP 3" ORY & Hooker Aeorchamber it's a nice mellow sound. Until I go WOT, then it's VERY aggressive.
I also have heads, but my cam idles on stock tune just fine. Basically right at 900 RPM's & you can only really hear the lope at initial start up. After she gets a little warm it almost goes away unless you know what your listening for.
You can feel the lope inside the car, but it will still sound mostly stock to most people & if you have a somewhat tame exhaust. I went with Hooker just b/c it flows great & the muffler was only $80 brand new. I just got it welded in my stock pipe & it's been great for over 2yrs.
The 224 cam will also be easier on your valvetrain. I'd still suggest a Partiot dual spring kit & chromemoly 7.4 pushrods. The dual springs will offer better valve control @ higher RPM's.

Well, the LT's will definately make it louder and easier to detect the lope, but the 114 wont give you as much lope as Marz's car. The TR224/114 is generally considered the biggest you can go and still pass Cali emisions, which is why I have it. It also makes a little bit of a stealth effect because you can barely tell there is a cam in there. Bascially if you want big lope, sell the 114, but if you want to keep it, with the right idle settings and tune it could get pretty lopey.
